How I work

Four advisory formats, one initial conversation.

Every mandate is designed around the client's context, but the formats themselves are stable: an ad-hoc consulting session, a fixed-scope project with deliverables, a monthly retainer for continuous access, or an intensive workshop with the board or executive committee. Fees are published because qualifying early serves both sides.

Formats

Four ways to engage me.

Ad-hoc consulting session

from EUR 1,500

When it fits
For a specific decision: classification of a system under Annex III of the EU AI Act, second opinion on an AI governance framework, review of a board resolution, or preparation of an audit committee session.
Duration
1 to 3 hours, in person in Madrid or by video call.
Deliverable
Written follow-up memo with conclusions and recommendations (1-2 pages).

Fixed-scope project

from EUR 30,000

When it fits
For work with a defined scope and concrete deliverable: EU AI Act compliance assessment, AI governance framework design, drafting of a technology committee charter, NIS2 or DORA readiness plan.
Duration
3 to 6 months, with bi-weekly sessions and documented milestones.
Deliverable
Final report plus operational documentation (policies, templates, registries) and presentation session to the board or executive committee.

Monthly retainer

from EUR 5,000/month

When it fits
For companies that need recurring senior advisory without formalising a mandate: continuous review of technology decisions, accompaniment of the CIO or CTO, preparation of board sessions.
Duration
Monthly renewal. Six-month minimum recommended to build sufficient context.
Deliverable
Monthly bucket of up to 8 hours, with asynchronous availability in writing between sessions.

Intensive workshop

from EUR 8,000

When it fits
To align the board or the executive committee on a specific matter in a concentrated format: EU AI Act and 2026 deadlines, AI governance, articulation of a specialised technology committee.
Duration
1 to 2 days in person, with materials prepared ad hoc and a session script.
Deliverable
Workshop documentation, written conclusions and an action plan agreed with the group.

Indicative fees, VAT excluded. Every concrete proposal is documented in writing after the initial conversation.

How the process works

Four steps, no surprises.

  1. 01

    First conversation

Thirty to forty-five minutes to understand the context, the problem and whether I'm the right person. No commitment, no fee.

  2. 02

    Written proposal

Scope, milestones, schedule, fees and conditions, documented in writing within five working days.

  3. 03

    Execution

Agreed sessions, intermediate deliverables and a review cadence. All documentation is shared with the client.

  4. 04

    Closure

Final deliverable, presentation session where relevant, and optional continuity proposal under retainer.

Who this is for

The kind of client I work best with.

The value proposition is the same for family-owned mid-market and PE-backed scale-ups: senior independent judgement that brings technology governance to board level. Sector and size matter less than the moment of inflection.

Good fit if…

  • Family business of EUR 50 to 500 million with growing technology dependency and no specialised internal compliance function.
  • Scale-up backed by private equity or venture capital that needs to structure AI and cybersecurity governance ahead of its next round or exit.
  • Board preparing the full application of the EU AI Act (2 August 2026) without independent technical judgement in its current composition.
  • Top executive who needs a senior second opinion before a material technology decision.

Not a fit if…

  • The work is hands-on operational implementation (development, integration, deployment): that's Puzzle Tech & Sec, my technical advisory firm.
  • The project requires formal certification or audit by an accredited entity: I refer to the appropriate partner.
  • Client size is below EUR 10 million in revenue and the matter doesn't yet require formal governance: there are more adequate alternatives in the market.

Shall we start with a conversation?

A thirty to forty-five minute call to understand the context and see whether the fit is right. No commitment.
